MISSION: 21st Theater Sustainment Command executes mission command of operational sustainment across European theater; conducts Reception, Staging, Onward movement and Integration; sets the Atlantic Resolve joint operation area; executes theater opening, theater distribution, and theater sustainment in support of U.S. European Command and NATO operations; and, as directed executes joint security and support to U.S. Africa Command operations.
VISION: Team 21 achieves something bigger than the sum of our pieces. We are capable of integrating with the Joint Logistics Enterprise, our NATO Allies and Partners. Team 21 is a NATO ready, theater responsive, Soldier-focused, cohesive team providing scalable mission command and sustainment capabilities to combatant commanders and Regionally Aligned Forces in an increasingly complex environment.
KEY TASKS:
ANTWERP and ZEEBRUGGE, Belgium - 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team and 1st Cavalry Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Soldiers and equipment arrived to the Ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge, Belgium January 2019 as the incoming rotation supporting U.S. Army Europe's Atlantic Resolve. The Army Vision released on June 6, 2018, states that near-peer threats "will increasingly challenge the United States and our allies in Europe, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific region." Conceivably, future conflict may consist of large-scale operations across multiple continents similar to what the world experienced during the two world wars.
The 21st Theater Sustainment Command is lead organization for all sustainment activities for U.S. Army Europe. Team 21 provides combat engineers, military police and medical professionals during partnership training and other operations supporting U.S. Army Europe, NATO, U.S. European Command, U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Central Command.
Headquartered in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Team 21 is comprised of more than 10 subordinate units positioned throughout Strong Europe's area of responsibility. As a result, First in Support Soldiers are key enablers, unified and synchronization for action whenever and where ever needed.
