At Maintenance Activity Kaiserslautern about 200 well-trained maintenance specialists provide field and sustainment maintenance for wheeled, tracked and all other automotive equipment and components in support of sustainment, deployment, re-deployment and reset of the U.S. Army in Europe. They also provide field and sustainment maintenance for Communication-Electronics (COMMEL) assets and selective automotive components.

The Bavarian crew at Maintenance Activity Vilseck provides and executes maintenance support for the theater in support of sustainment, deployment, readiness and training objectives. 

The crew of the 6966th Truck Transportation Terminal provides common user land transportation capability to the Commander, U.S. European Command.

More than 200 professional drivers are constantly on the road, driving an average of nearly 6 million miles per year. Furthermore, they provide truck and trailer maintenance, driver training and testing, and ADR (Accord européen relatif au transport international des marchandises dangereuses par route) (HAZ 11) for U.S. Army Europe Local Nationals.
