Maj. Gen. Michael B. Lalor, Commanding General

Maj. Gen. Michael B. Lalor assumed command of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command on July 30, 2025. As the 21st TSC Commander, he also serves also as the USAREUR-AF Deputy Commanding General- Sustainment and Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for USAG Benelux and Rhineland- Pfalz.

 

The 21st Theater Sustainment Command enables and sustains warfighting capability for U.S. Army Europe and Africa, and the NATO Allied Land Command, for all sustainment activities including logistics support, transportation, combat sustainment, human resources, finance, medical, military police, combat engineering, and other areas of field sustainment. 21st TSC executes operational control over 13,000 active duty and reserve Soldiers, Department of the Army Civilians, and local national employees geographically located on 40 different installations in 8 countries across the theater. 21st TSC generates readiness, options, and drives effects in coordination with the Joint Logistics Enterprise, NATO Allies, and Partners.

 

Maj. Gen. Lalor most recently served as the Tank-Automotive and Armaments Commander (TACOM), the 43rd Chief of Ordnance, Director, EBS-C, and the first Army Medical Logistics Commander (AMLC).  MG Lalor has served in tactical leadership positions from Tank Platoon Leader to Brigade Commander, with five operational deployments to Afghanistan (3), Iraq (2), and Bosnia, with the 10th Mountain Division and 1st Armored Division.

 

Originally from New York, Maj. Gen. Lalor earned his commission in 1995 through the ROTC program at the University of Scranton. He earned master's degrees from Louisiana State University; the School of Advanced Military Studies, Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; and the U.S. Army War College.

 

Maj. Gen. Lalor's awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (with three oak leaf clusters), the Bronze Star Medal (with two oak leaf clusters), the Meritorious Service Medal (with three oak leaf clusters), NATO Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Parachute Rigger Badge.
