COL Matt Alexander received a Regular Army commission as a
Second Lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps through the ROTC
program at Northwestern State University of Louisiana.
His previous assignments include: 10th Special Forces Group Support Battalion Commander; Director of Logistics & Travel Lead, White House Communications Agency; Regimental S4 and Support Operations Officer for the 75th Ranger Regiment; Logistics Staff Officer, Department of the Army G4, The Pentagon; Military Assistant to the Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, The Pentagon; Commander, Delta Company, 94th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Polk, Louisiana; Aide-de-Camp to the Deputy Commanding General, 21st Theater Support Command, Kaiserslautern, Germany; Executive Officer, 5th Quartermaster Company (Airborne), 191st Ordnance Battalion, Kaiserslautern, Germany; and Platoon Leader, Alpha Company, 2nd Forward Support Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea.
Most recently, COL Alexander served as the aide de camp to the Commanding General of Army Materiel Command and later, as aide to the Chief Operating Officer of OPERATION WARP SPEED, the national effort to produce and distribute the COVID-19 vaccine.
COL Alexander has multiple deployments to Afghanistan and one to Iraq. He also directly supported humanitarian relief efforts for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita during his service in Louisiana.
COL Alexander’s awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Ranger Tab, and the Presidential Service Badge.
COL Alexander is married to Holly Jackson of Asheville, NC.
