Col. Charles Fisher, Chief of Staff

Colonel Charlie Fisher became the 21st Theater Sustainment Command Chief of Staff on July 29, 2020.

Colonel Fisher is a native of Fort Myers, Florida. He enlisted in the Army as a Combat Engineer in 1992 before accepting an ROTC Scholarship to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.  He graduated in 1997 as a Distinguished Military Graduate and then commissioned 2LT, Quartermaster Corps.

His military education includes Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course, Petroleum Officer Course, Army Force Management Course, Division Transportation Officer Course, Support Operations Course, Joint & Combined Warfighting School (JCWS), and Command and General Staff College.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida, a Master’s of Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a Master’s of Science in Global Supply Chain Management from Syracuse University, and a Master’s of Strategic Studies from the Army War College. 

Colonel Fisher’s command assignments include Commander 401st Army Field Support Brigade, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Commander of 710th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (LI), Fort Polk, Louisiana, and 515th Transportation Company (Petroleum) during OIF I at FLB DOGWOOD, Camp Taji, Iraq and then Turley Barracks in Mannheim Germany.

Other significant assignments include Transportation Branch Chief, HQDA G-8, Washington D.C., Joint Logistics Planner, Logistics Directorate, J4, Joint Force Headquarters - National Capital Region, (JFHQ-NCR), Fort McNair, Washington D.C., Executive Officer of 701st BSB, 4th IBCT, Fort Riley, Kansas, Brigade S3 of 1st Sustainment Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) / Operation New Dawn (OND), Deputy Multinational Division Chief, Joint Staff J-4, Pentagon in Washington, D.C., Research Fellow with the Logistics Management Institute in the Training with Industry (TWI) program, and Platoon Leader, Troop Executive Officer, and Squadron Adjutant in the Regimental Support Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Irwin, CA.

Colonel Fisher has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I, Operation Iraqi Freedom/ Operation New Dawn, Hurricane Sandy Relief effort, and Operation Spartan Shield, Operation Inherent Resolve, and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Colonel Fisher’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (1SLC), Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1 combat star), Iraq Campaign Medal (4 combat stars), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon. He is also awarded the Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Parachute Rigger Badge, Joint Staff Service Badge, Army Staff Service Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.

Colonel Fisher is married to the former Jeannette Sewell from Fort Myers, FL. They have four children.
