Col. Bane graduated from Gannon University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management, commissioning in the Transportation Corps in 1997. He holds a Master‘s degree in Managerial Logistics from North Dakota State University and a Master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
His assignments include Platoon Leader, Adjutant and Movement Control Commander, 45th Corps Support Group, Schofield Barracks, HI; various positions with the 10th Division Support Command and the 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Spartans” at Fort Drum, NY, as the D Company Commander, Division Support Command Movement Control Officer; Commander, F Company, 710th Brigade Support Battalion, 2-87 Infantry Battalion S4 and Plans Officer; 710th Brigade Support Battalion Support Operations Officer. During this time he supported Operation Enduring Freedom I and IV; Movement Control Officer, 382nd Theater Opening Element, Support Operations Officer and Executive Officer of the 6th Transportation Battalion “DOERS,” 7th Sustainment Brigade at Fort Eustis, VA. During his tenure with the 7th SUS BDE, he deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom V, and also served as the Brigade Liaison Officer at U.S. Southern Command during Operation Unified Response in Haiti; G4 Mobility Operations Officer and the Secretary of the General Staff, United States Army Africa in Vicenza, Italy; Commander, 842nd Transportation Battalion (SDDC) headquartered in Beaumont, TX; Assistant Executive Officer for the Army Materiel Command Commanding General at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL; Army War College Fellow at the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal, the Global War on Terror Service and Expeditionary Medals, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal and the Air Assault Badge.
Col. Bane is married and has three children.
